MEN'S DARK WASH JEANS
Are you a diehard denim fan who, up until now, has only considered the most classic medium indigo washes? If so, we’re happy to introduce you to something new and just the right amount of different: dark jeans for men.

What’s great about dark wash jeans? Well, it’s everything about our jeans that you know and love — the 5-pocket styling, the durable denim construction, the authentic look, and the long and storied history behind it — in a range of washes that run the gamut from a darker indigo treatment to the darkest pitch black. Not only do we recommend that you dip your toes into dark jeans, we think you should have a few different pairs in different washes that cover a range of occasions.

First, a little note on care: because dark denim is made with heavier and more rich dyes, you should be careful about how you wash them and what you wear them with at first. Color transfer is possible with dark wash denim, so be careful about wearing them with bright colored garments on the light end of the spectrum — the dye could rub off. Similarly, dark colored denim might should be washed separately with like colors to avoid staining. Check out our blog post on how to keep dark jeans as dark as possible.

Once your jeans are washed or worn to your liking, the sky really is the limit. The nicest thing about darker jeans is their versatility: they’re easy to dress up or down and go with just about everything. Worries about clashing tones or getting washed out go out the window.

We recommend starting with the most fundamental of the dark washes: black to midnight. The perfect base for any style, we think of black jeans as the go-to for just about any occasion. They pair well with any color and style, and we especially like how good a pair of black jeans makes the legs look.

Next up: deep indigo to navy. These are jeans whose washes range quite a bit, but feature an array of deep, inky blues. Great to pair with lighter-colored tops, and particularly great with more traditional patterns like plaid, tartan and fair-isle, these dark jeans for men can be anything from more laid-back to more fashion-forward.

The best part about dark wash jeans are their versatility. Pair a slim fit with a button-up, denim trucker, and lace-up leather shoes for a day-to-night foundation or combine a straight fit in with a hoodie and sneakers for a casual and modern aesthetic. Jeans are so authentic and adaptable that you'll look good no matter what you're wearing. No matter what you choose, we think you’ll love incorporating dark wash jeans into your day-to-day routine. The easiest, most versatile wash range, you won’t find a simpler way to step up your style.
